Leadership
Mike’s role as lead project manager paves the way for project success. He holds a degree in construction management from Florida International University. Mike manages estimating, change orders, and proposal/contract preparation—everything needed to stay on schedule, on budget, and on good terms with everyone. We call him “el principal” because of his focus on detail and process. Make no mistake. He will call you to his office if necessary.
While Mike paves the way for project success, Nick makes sure the process and results meet our high standards. He also holds a degree in construction management. As lead superintendent, he supervises every project—managing everything onsite and handling any issues that arise. Don’t tease him for taking lunch early. He’ll bark back unless you’ve also been at the job site every morning by 6 am.
EJ manages a wide range of pre-construction and business responsibilities, including strategy, taxes, insurance, and contracts. He is an attorney, licensed by the Florida Bar, having earned his J.D. from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management from the University of Miami. EJ enthusiastically pitches in and helps with anything the business needs. Except for IT. We don’t talk about that.
Eduardo Sr. is the company’s founder and philosophical cornerstone. From the earliest days of EF Builders, Eduardo has been a tireless advocate for work quality, regardless of project size or scope. He still is. His timeless principles form the backbone of our company and we continue to call on his vast experience as our ultimate mentor.
We’re all still learning from Roberto. Since the 1980s, he has worked with us in construction and shell contracting leading teams and overseeing quality. When Roberto is onsite, everyone knows it. Crews refer to him as “el patrón” for his no-nonsense approach and obsession with every quality detail. Roberto is the final say-so for every project, a primary driver of our success, and an inspiration to us all.
